Established in 2003 by senior professional Recruiters, Shortlist is an upmarket quality player recruitment boutique and one of Portugal’s leading Executive Search firms, with pan-European and pan-African reach, serving the strategic Recruitment and Assessment needs of Boards and CEOs, enabling their companies to build a true talent advantage. 

OUR NAME - By definition "shortlist" is a list of those candidates for a position or an award, not eliminated in the preliminary selection process, from which the final choice will be made. For us it means hard work to find exceptional people. We couldn't think of a better name for a recruiting firm.

In an effort to better serve our Clients, Shortlist was established as an independent boutique firm, with experienced, well seasoned and knowledgeable recruiting capacity, and with a focus on the quality of delivery and on building long term and in-depth relationships with clients.

80% of our business is in Portugal, and 20% are international assignments. All companies, especially within the emerging markets, have a growing need to combine local talent and high potentials from across the world. Over the years we've established a reputation as one of the top firms in Portugal with effective international reach across Europe and Portuguese-speaking countries like Angola, Mozambique and Brazil.

In the last three years we have filled 90% of our retained assignments, 90% of the job offers made by our clients have been accepted by the selected candidates, 95% of the candidates submitted to induction programs have been successful, and the placement retention after twelve months has been 95%.
